of Mass Lease

Development Mass Lease

Mass Lease was started in 1995 with the acquisition of 5 Fokker 50 aircraft from BARAL. For the first years, Mass primarily functioned as the asset holding of VLM Airlines, which was owned by the same mother company. During 2006, Mass has commenced leasing to regional airlines outside the group. Since then, Mass has become a lessor for the second phase of the life cycle of an aircraft. We provide leases to the smaller, regional airlines worldwide.

Portfolio development

During 2006, Mass has commenced leasing to airlines outside the group and in the same year has purchased the first 3 Fokker 100 aircraft and subsequently placed them with new lessees in Sweden and South Korea. In 2007 and 2008 the remaining Fokker 100 portfolio of Aercap was taken over, the majority of which had leases attached. Further acquisitions include Fokker 100’s from Mandarin Airlines and Fokker 50’s from Ocean Air Brasil.

Over the years, we have served many clients in various regions of the world.
